Today we finished our project taking photos of all our new products. YAY! I am very happy with the result. Our products look really good like that, don’t you agree?

Today we got lots of new Tenshi Neko and Akuma Neko bags delivered, more than 400 altogether. Luckily we moved to our new office already and have lots of space to store all of them. Tenshi Neko is our bestseller so we have to order new bags frequently. Akuma Neko is a brand new character that was just released. Akuma Neko is the boyfriend of Tenshi Neko and the naughty one. We also ordered some new items today, not just handbags. We got some really gorgeous back-bags, wallets, cosmetic bags etc.

Today we got a delivery from our factory in Thailand with lots of new Tenshi Neko bags. This time we also ordered some new items from Akuma Neko and Mimori. Both are new brands and were just released in Asia. Akuma Neko is the naughty boyfriend of Tenshi Neko, but really cute too. Mimori is a japanese girl who is always smiling and having fun. When my supplier sent me the newest catalog and I saw these bags, I just had to order them. Have a look at some of the bags here:

Wow, today we received already our 2nd order from our new online shop. Another lady from Germany bought our Tenshi Neko bags. They are our top sellers on eBay as well. Keep ordering people and you will make me happy

I found out that just one day after we released our online-shop www.modes4u.com our first customer signed up for an account (incl. newsletter). The customer is from Italy where we have many customers from our eBay business already, especially for our Tenshi Neko bags. They are really popular in Europe. Unfortunately no one has ordered anything from our shop yet but I must be patient as our shop is totally new and just less than 1 week old.

So how did I finally find THE right product?

In summer 2006 I met a german, Philipp, who moved into the block next to us. He also has his own business on eBay, selling electronics like mobile batteries, USB cardreader, MP3 player etc. So we sat together quite often and discussed our ideas. I told him my ideas about selling fashion to Europe and he convinced me to check out Thailand. So we flew together to Bangkok and went for hours and days around Bangkok to find interesting suppliers. I found a few different manufacturers, all selling totally different fashion, so I bought some samples and put them online. Ebay is great for testing new products and see the response if a product could be sold or not. At the end, the products from one manufacturer were successful and we now order from him frequently. He has a huge range of products related to Japan, kawaii style and other cute items. It is a lot of work to find a new product or supplier, running around from company to company, negotiating, buying samples, putting them online and testing them. But in the end, I was successful and found one good supplier for me.

But that wasn’t enough. I need more suppliers with different products. I wanted to have a bigger collection and variety. So I kept searching in Hong Kong and China for interesting looking fashion. It drove me almost nuts, every time when I went shopping, I just kept looking for suitable products. I couldn’t stop thinking about it anymore. I went to many wholesale markets, trade fairs, wholesale malls, companies my friends recommended etc. Finally, in the beginning of 2007 I found another supplier, a manufacturer from China who is manufacturing garment and accessories with styles like rockabilly, emo, gothic, rock etc. So I ordered some samples, tested them and found out that they sell really well. Now, we order from them very often and our wholesale customers love the items as well.

But I cannot stop searching for new products. I have to keep searching for the next hot item that could fit into our collection. When I find the next one, you will definitely find it in our shop.
