If you’re into clay crafting you will love all the new stuff we’ve been adding to our shop during the last weeks. As it is quite a bit, we thought it might be a good idea to give you a brief overview:

1. Books for clay crafting

This is such an awesome thing to learn basic techniques or to get inspiration. We got a couple of books with lots of pictures of beautiful clay sweets and lots of step by step instuctions. So if you want to learn how to make macaroons, cupcakes, chocolate, donuts or fruit from clay this is the right thing for you. The books are all in Japanese only, but the pictures are so detailed that you also understand easily when you don’t speak the language. If you are advanced in clay crafting and want some inspiration, we also have a book by a Japanese deco sweet artist who really makes elaborate stuff. As the instructions for all the things depicted in the book are underlined with drawings only, it is better if you already have some experience so that you’ll understand it better. We also sell this lovely book with Japanese flowers made from clay. Those pictures are just amazing, you would totally think that all the plants are real.

2. Eraser making kits

The first ones already sold minutes after we put them online, so be fast if you’re interested in one of our new eraser making kits. They have been released for a long time already, but we never had those ones before. You can make our own Fast Food erasers, Sushi erasers or Ice cream and cookies erasers. Super kawaii, isn’t it? The sets come with everything that is needed to make them, all you need is some water and a microwave.

3. Utility Box

You can use this cute Fuwa Fuwa utility box to store your clay and prevent it from drying out. But it’s also great to store all your clay tools or even your finished clay products in it. The box looks really cute and glitters too.

4. Varnish

To put varnish on your clay products really helps to preserve them and make them last longer. This varnish doesn’t have any glitter in it, but of course the finished products shine abit after usage. The bottle comes with an integrated brush/applicator.

5. Colour scales and molds

Now you can enlarge you clay crafting accessories department wih some useful things. We got a couple of new molds, for example for fruit or macaroons. Our new colour scale will open the doors to so many new colour variations. It comes with a colour chart that shows you exactly how much clay of a certain colour you have to use to mix one of the depicted shades.

6. Decoration sauces and whipped cream

Especially when you’re into clay sweets there are so many decoration possibilities. Now there are even more, because we got a lot of new decoration sauces: chocolate, strawberry, kiwi, blueberry, mango, caramel, milk and so on, you just have to pick your favourite. You can also get silicone whipped cream in white or crystal colour.

Yay, five new Re-Ment sets at once. We just re-stocked a lot of our popular Re-Ments and also got a few new sets from Japan that were just released. Of course we have been waiting for them impatiently since we knew that they were coming. So what’s new?

There are two really cute Hello Kitty sets. One contains 10 different retro children’s candies. Everything looks old school and very kawaii. As the set refers to Japanese children’s candies, some things such as the the box with dried squid or the packet of dried cherries might be untypical for some people. But of course there is also ice cream, chocolate, drinks and more. The second set contains lovely mirror charms. On one side of the charm you’ll find a cute Hello Kitty design, on the other side there’s a small mirror.

We finally have the Rilakkuma Teahouse Re-Ment. There are 10 adorable pieces of traditional Japanese candy to this set in the shape of cute Rilakkuma bears: Mochi, sweet rice balls, shaved ice, pancakes, green tea and more.

Last but not least we also offer 2 new Disney Re-Ments. The super cute Mickey & Minnie Sweets Shop set contains a lot of super detailed pieces of pastry, cupcakes and sweets. The impressive birthday cake is definitely the highlight of the set. To display your sweets collection you could use the cool Disney and Alice Showcase. It’s perfect to present your Re-Ment food or sweets favourites. The great thing about this display: It comes with two decoration sets. You can either give it a Mickey & Minnie Mouse look or use the cute Alice in Wonderland stickers to embellish it.

In the last weeks we added lots of new fabrics from Robert Kaufman and Kokka to our shop. Just last week the newest echino collection followed. And the designs are so lovely and powerful again. We got each one in several colours, so you can see how it looks in different shades and pick your favourite. We also have some additional colours of “older” designs, such as the funny echino London fabric or the echino glasses fabric.

Besides that our last echino delivery also contained the whole “dot dot dot” collection. That means 13 pretty polka dot fabrics in different colours. And we also got a few items of the “Solid” collection. Those are probably the first single-coloured fabrics we ever had in our shop, we’re all excited to see how you like them.

So there it is, lots of beautiful stuff waiting to be turned into colourful shirts, skirts, dresses, curtains, table clothes or all the other things you want to use it for.

Brand new and so kawaii. We have a new kind of cellphone accessories in our shop. The cute animals phone straps are made of wood and feel really nice. Plus they are small, so they look discreet on your phone, but still give it a very unique and cute look. That’s why we made them our favourite product of the week. There are several adorable designs with yellow and black cats, but also nice ones with frogs and bunnies. Do you have a favourite already?

A cut, a bump, a headache - it happens so easily. Now you can add some cute items to your emergency kit, because it’s always good to be prepared. We have lots of adorable glitter band-aids and super kawaii animal cooling gel pads. Not only will they ease your pain, but maybe also make you forget about it, as they are just really cute. Children will love our new items too, we’re 100 percent sure. The kawaii band-aids come in different designs, such as Rilakkuma, Kutusita Nyanko cat or the Mamegoma Baby seals. They can also be used as decoration.

The little animal cooling gel pads in the shape of cats, bears, frogs or penguins are really handy and perfect to cool bruises, scratches, insect bites or bumps. If you have a headache, they will provide a cooling effect as well. But you can also use them to cool the food in your bento lunch boxes. Due to their small size they fit in most of the boxes that provide a compartment for a cooling pad. What a great multi-purpose item!

Playing with lots of colourful building blocks for hours, building all kinds of stuff – doesn’t this evoke childhood memories? Well, unfortunately you can’t really build much with all the funny building block items we just added to our shop, but at least some of them are stackable. And of course they all serve another purpose and are super fun, because they are so bright and cheerful. There are some cute accessories in brick style, such as the cute tape dispensers, which you can even connect. Isn’t this a fun idea for all your colourful deco tapes? We also got funny key covers and cellphone charms in the shape of building blocks.

The colourful square building block bento boxes have been our bestsellers for ages, so we increased our product variety with more colours, shapes and accessories. Now we offer big rectangular building block bento boxes, little sauce containers or chopsticks. The new stackable bento boxes, which you can stack on top of each other, are really cool as well. What a great way to save room in your cupboards, fridge or freezer.

This will be quite a long blog post, but we just have so much to show you. Now we offer mt Washi Masking Tapes from Japan in our shop and are so happy about it. The company mt just recently became one of our suppliers and we just love the quality and variety of their products. The colours are super intense and each tape is individually wrapped, so that they are well protected. We also got lots of wide single Washi masking tapes. We also ordered a lot of different Washi Tape sets with 2 pieces. They are really great if you want to vary a special design that you like a lot, as you get one design in two different colour variations or styles. They come in a handy bag. Also a lot of wide tapes are available in sets of two.

Single coloured Washi tapes are a great basic crafting material with a great visual effect. We now have a couple of single coloured sets in our shop. They come with 5 tapes in different colours and are wrapped in a plastic bag. There are combinations with darker colours or light colours.

5 Tapes with different patterns and different width. This is a great starter set, as you have so many different Washi tape options in just one set and can try lots of different things. Each round label is individually embellished. A fast and incredibly pretty way to label glasses, boxes, shelves and much more. Of course you can write on the labels, detach them easily and reuse them.

Clearly a product for children, you might think. But we promise: Those band-aids look great on adults too. Guys, spring started already. At least the calendar says so. And isn’t that just the perfect time for a big spring cleaning? We just got something that will help you fight your chaos: Washi Masking Tapes with Labels from the Japanese company mt. We just added them a couple of days ago to our shop and think that they are just a great invention. Super pretty sticky labels that you can tear by hand and just write on. If you don’t want them anymore, remove them easily, if you want to put them somewhere else, just do it. So now you can label glasses, boxes, shelves and so on super fast. Maybe this will make cleaning more fun.

And as spring and summer are also the time to make jam yourself, why not use these pretty tapes to label all your glasses?

You love to craft with clay? From now on modes4u will be your shopping paradise then. Because we added lots of totally new clays. Don’t worry, you’ll still find all those paper clays, Hearty clay and Fuwa Fuwa that we used to carry before. But now there is even more variety and therefore many more possibilities to be creative.

There is for example real pottery clay, which you can just fire in your oven at home – no need for special clay ovens. That’s really great for making flower pots, sweets plates, accessories and small interior pieces. The oil clay that we got can even swim on water and is very suitable for crafting dolls. With the Wood-Formo wooden clay you can create objects with a wooden look. But sweets, pastry or cookies look very real when made with this clay too. Something with a very special effect: Our Modena clay becomes translucent after drying and allows you to e.g. craft lamp shades with a wonderful visual result. Isn’t that just amazing? Of course you can also make other things with it, they will all look great.

We also got some more super lightweight clays from different brands, such as Mermaid Puffy, Modena Soft Clay, Karugaru Paperclay and Artista Soft Clay. The first two ones are even waterproof. And Mermaid Puffy clay gets soft and flexible after having dried completely. You can basically create your own squishies with that. Super cool.

A lot of the new clays are also available in different colours, if you prefer it colourful. By the way, in the next days we will add a lot of colourful clay decoration sauces and molds too.
