YAY, we got added to the official San-X retailer list. It’s a really nice compliment to be one of their offical retailers now, we’re very happy about it. San-X is one of the largest character oriented stationary and gift manufacturing companies in Japan and one of our biggest suppliers for cute stationery, bento boxes and accessories. They developed characters such as Rilakkuma, Mamegoma, Kutusita Nyanko, Berry Puppy, Kireizukin or Kamonohashikamo, which are very popular in our shop. We have been working closely together with San-X since we started modes4u.com a couple of years ago, and becoming an official retailer is a nice sign for continuing our good business relations. So look out for all the new cute San-X stuff we will be adding frequently to our shop.

A lot of our customers record the opening of their packages from modes4u.com to share their excitement with their friends and the online-community on YouTube. For us it is also very interesting to see how the customers like the products, how satisfied they are with the packing and shipping and if they have any suggestions. So we always watch very closely. But of course is’s a lot of fun to see these videos, as lots of people get super excited when opening and seeing the Re-Ments, clay sets, fabrics or stationery for the first time. Man, those ones are really cool. We just got 3 new Re-Ments today that we have never had before. We’re sure you guys will love them. There are 2 Rilakkuma ones that are really quite different from each other. One is called ‘Chocolate Cafe‘ and has the most ADORABLE Rilakkuma desserts we have seen in a long time. The Rilakkuma toast and pancakes are out of this world! Overall the set consists of 6 different themes.

Then we got a set that goes quite good together with the ‘Chocolate Cafe’. It’s called ‘Cafe Table‘ and a fixed box set with just one theme – we don’t have these kinds of Re-Ments a lot. It conists of super cute Rilakkuma chairs and a table with different table cloths, so it’s perfect to put the cute desserts and sweets on it.

The last new one is called ‘Work Wear‘ and has 8 super cute different working outfits such as nurse, cheerleader, maid and more. Check out the new stuff on our website, we’re sure they will be very popular.

That really was super fast. Yesterday we got a new delivery of our very popular 4 colour bento boxes including the super cute frog bento box. We put them online in the afternoon and within 5 minutes all 200 pieces were sold out. Other customers who wanted to buy them too couldn’t believe it. We also have to admit that it doesn’t happen every day that a new delivery is sold out that quickly. It’s a new record. But can you blame them? The bento boxes are just really cute. A lot of you guys have been waiting for this, we finally added new Michael Miller fabrics to our shop. Yesterday we got the huge delivery from the USA, we were waiting for it really impatiently. When it arrived we immediately started unpacking, taking photos of all the new stuff and writing descriptions. We ordered many cute new fabrics with animals, flowers or patterns. We also got some of our most popular fabrics in new colours, you should take a look. Some fluffy flannel fabrics came with this shipping as well. They feel really nice, everybody at the office totally wants to touch them all the time. Definitely some good material for the cold winter days to come.

Re-Ment will be launching a new Hello Kitty collection with a Chinese New Year theme on 5th of December 2011. I think it looks really cute and very interesting, as the different pieces of the collection not only have cute Hello Kittys, but also a connection to Chinese New Year and therefore Chinese tradition. There are 10 different items overall, for example with Hello Kitty as a Chinese lucky cat, as a lantern, as a Chinesese dragon or as a Koi Fish, which for example symbolizes surplus or success. Of course the colour red is pretty dominant in the collection and the announcement poster, as it is ’the’ colour of Chinese New Year. Living in Hong Kong and knowing what an important holiday it is over here, I really like the fact that Re-Ment decided to launch a collection with that cultural context. And it’s still super cute, don’t you think?
