Finally, we have them back in stock! A lot of you guys have been waiting for this, today we restocked our popular ‘What a hoot’ owl fabrics in our online shop, that just arrived from the USA. Classic Cotton reprinted the fabrics just for us, I was really happy that we could get them again. The bolts that arrived are really huge, I can tell you. But we already have many orders, as it’s just such a popular fabric. So you better not wait too long if you are thinking about getting some of this cute owl fabric.

Good news for all of you who are waiting impatiently for some Re-Ment news. Re-Ment just announced to release a new Hello Kitty collection. And it’s literally getting sweet. There will be Hello Kitty with cupcakes, waffles, macaroon, roll cake and chocolate pie. All together there will be 10 pieces in different colours, check out the designs. The official sale starts in Japan at the end of November, of course we will sell them in our shop as soon as we can get them. We’ll keep you posted on this.

You can really tell that Christmas is coming. Today I discovered that San-X will release some really cute Rilakkuma Christmas Plush Toys soon. Aren’t they adorable? I think especially the little Christmas Tree Decoration details on all the toys are really cute. Unfortunateley you can only get them in Japan, so we can’t order them. But we also have a lot of cute Christmas products in our shop, if you already want to get into a festive mood. And of course we always stock lots of cute Rilakkuma products.

Today we added many new Washi Tapes to our shop, they are really pretty and have very beautiful patterns. A lot of them are striped, lined or checkered, but we also got funny designs like a Happy Birthday Tape or tape measure design. I also really like a purple one we got with a lot of blobs of paint, that’s a really funny design. Washi Masking Tape is really nice for scrapbooking or wrapping presents, as you can reposition it easily and also write on it. Check them out, we got them all from Japan.

Today we got a Chinese Pool Table for our office and immediateley had to have a little game during our lunch break. Chinese Pool is very popular among teenagers and young people in Hong Kong and very similar to Pool Billard – it’s all about shooting little pucks into the 4 holes on the table using a cue. There are many different ways to play it and it’s really fun, as you learn it very fast. Even Bianca and I, who have never played it before, scored some points. We had a fun time playing it and had to drag ourselves back to work after lunch. But there is much to do at the moment, as we got new deliveries, e.g. new Japanese Washi Tapes, that we want to add to our online shop as soon as possible.

Chinese Pool Challenge in the office

We got a new delivery with cute erasers by Iwako and added them to our online shop today. Most of them are cute animals like koala bears, ladybirds, dragonflies, lions, tigers, monkeys and more, but we have also other designs, for example cool little American footballs. We also got some adorable new eraser sets. All erasers are really cute and colourful and very accurate in every detail. A lot of customers told us, that they love our erasers as little gifts for their Advent calendars. We think that’s a really good idea, as they are cute little somethings that have a very unique touch.

It’s been a couple of months since we moved into our new office in Fo Tan, Hong Kong. Now we finally got round taking some new pictures of our warehouse and office, so that you guys can get an impression of how we are working over here. We really like this new place, especially as we have much more space than in our old office. The office is divided into the packing section where we pack all your orders, a photo studio to take good pictures of all our products, an office part for our staff and of course our big warehouse – the most important part. But as you can see, most of the shelves are already filled up with our products. Especially fabrics take up a lot of room and we will be getting even more of them in the next couple of weeks.

You can also find all the pictures on our ‘About us’ website, which we updated these days and where we introduce our team as well. We recently added a picture of Bianca, our new team member from Germany who is doing copywriting and PR for us.

We just got the DaWanda Lovebook today, in which we are published. DaWanda is an online marketplace where you can buy unique and self-made stuff from different suppliers and designers. Of course we have our own site there too. Each year DaWanda releases a lovebook for the press where they exclusively present 170 of the loveliest items available. For the edition 2011/2012 one of our fabrics got selected too. It’s by Michael Miller with a very cute Christmas deer print. It’s so great to be in there. When looking through the book I noticed that two of our customers are presented as well. And guess what, they even printed photos of their clothes that are made out of our fabrics. One customer made a cute dress with our fabric, another one sewed an adorable cushion cover.

Guys, it’s Hello Kitty everywhere in Hong Kong. McDonald’s Hong Kong has a special Hello Kitty promotion going on at the moment. You can get 4 really cute plush toys for 25 HKD a piece to every meal that you purchase. Hello Kitty is dressed as famous McDonald’s characters, there is Ronald McDonald, Hamburglar, Grimace and Birdie. Of course Hello Kitty looks much cuter than the originals. You see the lovely toys throughout the whole city and there are special TV advertisements, which are running these days. Even the staff at McDonald’s is wearing Hello Kitty shirts, what an adorable work uniform. It made me think about how a work uniform for our team could look like. But there are just so many cute characters in our shop, they would all have to be on the uniform – so it would be very crowded.
