Five ideas for kawaii Mother’s Day gifts

You might not be aware of the fact that Mother’s Day is less than 20 days away. So like every year the question comes up: What present to give to your mother? If you don’t feel like going for the classic flowers and chocolate but want to do something unique and creative, we got some ideas from our shop:

1. A Mother’s Day Scrapbook

This will require some work, but every mother will just LOVE it. We just added 4 adorable scrapbooking sets to our shop and they are more than perfect to create a one of a kind Mother’s Day gift. The kits come with all the basics you need for scrapbooking such as the book, tons of stickers, coloured paper, a Washi Masking Tape and other accessories like woven ribbons, buttons and more. Then it’s up to you to turn it into something personal and create a connection to your mother. But you’re prepared so well, it should be a breeze, right?

2. Clay flowers

Flowers are just a classic on Mother’s Day and although most women love them, we are sure that your mother probably received quite a few bouquets in her life. This is why we suggest to alter that present: Make some clay flowers! We recently got some books with lots of instructions and ideas for miniature clay items. One book majors in showing beautiful clay flowers that you can make yourself. It’s really amazing what you can do and how real those plants look. You can find lots of different clays in our shop and the book, which is is Japanese only, contains many detailed pictures showing exactly what parts the different flowers consist of. Of course it also explains the basic techniques. What a great way to give pretty flowers and something selfmade at the same time.  Plus these flowers don’t wither.

3. Chocolate and pastry

Flowers are one Mother’s Day classic, chocolates are the other one. Nothing wrong with that, but you can easily turn it into something special by making chocolate yourself. Surely your Mom hasn’t had many pieces of those tasty little sugar bombs in the the shape of cute Rilakkuma bear. With the Rilakkuma chocolate mold you can make 30 pieces at once. You think some pieces of chocolate are not enough to show the love to your mother? Bake a big Rilakkuma chocolate cake in the super kawaii silicone mold we have in our shop.

4. Make a card

If you don’t want to go overboard and just give a little something to your Mom, that’s fine too. After all it’s the thought that counts. You can super easily craft a very personal card that will make your Mom’s heart melt. Just use some pretty deco tape, some stamps and stickers and garnish it with some personal words. Voilà! Doesn’t have to take longer than 15 minutes, but it will mean a lot to your mother.

Still you can give your Mom a piece of jewelry that is within the budget, pretty cute and expresses your love. For example the adorable Hello Kitty Jewel Mascot in the shape of a diamond.
