It’s time to introduce our first fabric designer for the American manufacturer Timeless Treasures. Say hello to Hoodie!
Artist, fabric designer, illustrator, sewer, mother, woman – those are just a couple of the terms the New York City based designer Hoodie uses to describe herself. Hoodie was born and raised in Japan and has been living in the USA for 20 years now.
The designer has been working in Japan and the US in quite various fields: She created illustrations and layouts, wrote essays for newspapers and magazines, designed posters, catalogs & costumes and was a food stylist for photo shoots. In the last years designing fabrics became her main activity. Between 1994 and 2000 she was already working as a freelance designer for Timeless Treasures, licensed Hoodie’s line with that manufacturer were released in the last two years. Between 1999 and 2007 she also worked as a house designer for Michael Miller. Nowadays she mostly designs for Timeless Treasures and is also an art director for Newcastle Fabrics since 2012. Hoodie’s fabrics on modes4u.com are mainly from the Sow and Grow collection and the l’amour de la vie line.
