One of the things we really loved on the Japan Hobby Show in Tokyo were the adorable felt items. We saw lots of lovely little fugures made completely from felt, such as litte animals, matryoshkas, Halloween items or sweets. We don’t carry any of these DIY sets in our shop yet, but it certainly made us think about getting some.

This week belonged to Alexander Henry, as we added lots of fabrics from the Californian design house to our shop. They have a lot of really exraordinary collections, which add a whole new side to our fabric selection. One of their lines which is perfect for Halloween is the super funny “The Ghastlies” collection. We carry a couple of designs with that evil witch family. The fabrics have a cool comic style and are kept completly in black, white and pale pink. The fabrics from this collection are our favourite products of the week.

Clearly our favourite product of the week: the Timeless Treasures glow in the dark spiderwebs fabric. Why? Because it glows in the dark. Really! The spiderwebs have a glow in the dark pattern that can absorb light, so that you see it even in the dark. Isn’t it the perfect Halloween fabric for costumes and decoration with a spooky effect?

Halloween is just a few weeks away, so if you want to be creative for that holiday, you might think about starting your projects these days. Just in time for that we added some kawaii spooky Halloween fabrics to our shop. The pumpkin, ghost or witch designs are perfect for sewing costumes, Halloween clothes, decoration or accessories for October 31st.

The new Timeless Treasures spiderwebs fabric has a super cool effect. The spiderwebs are equipped with glow-in-the-dark pigments, so they really glow in the dark when you let them absorb some light in advance. We also really like the cute Stitchy Witchy Robert Kaufman Halloween fabric, as the design is quite unusual. Typical Halloween symbols like witches, black cats or pumpkins are combined with sewing accessories.

A couple of days ago we launched our Halloween design to put you in the right mood for the upcoming spooky holiday on October 31st. We have to admit that the little figures are rather cute than scary, but we can’t help it, we’re just a kawaii shop. The three Halloween designs rotate randomly in our shop, so you might see a different header each time you refresh or change a page. Of course the header of this blog can’t stay behind, so we gave it a Halloween design as well.

Trick or treat: little ghosts and candy

This year it’s trick or treat with Hello Kitty. Re-Ment just announced that they will release a super cute “Kira Pika Monster Mascot” Re-Ment with Hello Kitty and My Melody as witches, mummies, ghosts, Frankenstein and more. Even though it’s supposed to be scary those little charms just look super cute. Still it’s pretty cool to see those two kawaii characters in Halloween mode.

The set consists 6 Hello Kitty and 4 My Melody charms and will be released in Japan on the 6th of August.

Our kawaii shop is in Halloween mood and therefore we designed three really cute Halloween shop headers. One design is with matryoshka dolls dressed as witches, another one is with black cats and pumpkins and the third one is with a ghost, candy and stars. All three designs rotate randomly on our shop.
