Today we had a visit from a Kokka employee because they wanted to show us the newest designs they just released. That’s so super convenient when the suppliers come to your office to show you their newest collection. I must say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE their new collection. There are so many adorable, cute, kawaii, lovely fabrics, it will be really hard to choose which ones we will order. Unfortunately, I cannot order all of them because there is a budget limit

Today, we received a delivery of almost 40 bolts of Kokka fabrics from Japan. I was waiting for them impatiently because I couldn’t wait to see all the new cute patterns. We got Kokka fabrics with Matroshka dolls, kittens, Alice in Wonderland, toadstool, peach blossom, deers, monkeys, skulls and many more.
We had some fun in the office building a fabric pyramid with all the fabric bolts and took some pics.

I have another update from Kokka: We sell the fabrics from our first order with Kokka crazily and therefore we decided to place a new order now to prevent running out of stock. We got one wholesale order from a shop in Germany and therefore we can combine the 2 orders, ship them together and save some shipping costs. We ordered over 35 bolts of Kokka fabrics! They will be shipped by ship. I am looking forward to get them, the expected arrival date is 21.10.2009. I will definitely post a blog post when the fabrics arrive. So keep coming back for news!
Today we finally received our first order of Kokka fabrics from Japan. They were sent by courier directly from Kokka’s warehouse and it took only 1 day to arrive. It’s definitely an advantage to be in Hong Kong
We ordered fabrics with prints like christmas deers, matryoshka animals, cute bears, black kitty, toadstools, Alice in Wonderland and matryoshka dolls. Below you can see 2 pics I took to show you how the fabric bolts were delivered. They came in 2 huge long packages wrapped with a very strong paper outside and plastic wrapping inside.

Today we received new fabric swatches from Kokka in Japan. They are the newest designs from September 2009. Kokka releases every month new designs, therefore we get every month new swatches delivered and based on them, we place our orders.
Sorry about writing so much about Kokka in the last time but we are selling them so well since we started working with them together and we get updates about new designs often. I just want to share all these exciting news with you. There will be blog posts about our other products coming next, I promise!

Today we had an appointment with Kokka who is the leading fabric manufacturer in Japan. They have lots of really cute and beautiful fabrics, so I contacted them in Japan and introduced our business to them. They were very interested in working with us together, so they set up a meeting with us in Hong Kong. Luckily, they have a Hong Kong office, so we didn’t need to fly to Japan for the meeting (although I would have really enjoyed a trip to Japan haha). We met with the boss from Japan, who is a really nice and friendly guy and his staff member, who his responsible for their Kokka customers. They showed us a lot of fabric and I was so excited. All these super cute, very detailed and amazing quality fabrics. I was immediately convinced that these fabrics are perfect for our shop and our customers. Everyone will just love them. The print and the colours are so detailed and clear, just incredible. So I chose all my favourite designs and they will prepare the swatches for us and send them by courier to our office tomorrow. I can’t wait to show these fabrics to our customers and order some fabric for our shop as soon as possible.
We finally have Rilakkuma Relax Bear fabric from San-X Japan in our shop. They are super cute. There are even matching buttons available. I will be on the lookout to get more different San-X fabrics soon. Additional, we got also tons of other kawaii fabric and buttons, like cute animal kids, bears, monkeys, strawberries, some new Hello Kitty fabric and Hello Kitty buttons and more.
