We have a new Facebook Fanpage landing page! This is a new feature on Facebook and we had to get one so people can get an overview over our fanpage without having to go through all the wall posts. The landing page is the first page people see when they are not our fans on Facebook yet and go to our fanpage. The result is a really cute landing page, I think it is very suitable for our kawaii online shop. As we are getting so many new products every week, we decided to make a new category in our online shop called “New Products“. This category shows all products we got within the last 2 weeks and they are ordered by date. That means when you click into the category, the top item is the newest product we added to the shop. I hope this category helps our customers to get an overview of the latest products we have in our kawaii shop.

We finally got a new newsletter template for our retail and wholesale newsletter. The old template was quite dark with lots of black/dark grey and we wanted to make the newsletter more recognizable for our customer. So we came up with a template that looks very similar to our online shop. We think the new template is much cleaner, easy to read and shows the products nicely. I hope you guys like the new newsletter as well. If you want to receive our newsletter, go to our website and fill in your email address in the newsletter box on the lower right corner of our kawaii shop. Please feel free to comment any suggestions or changes you would like to see in our newsletter. Below you can see our first retail newsletter with the new template sent out to our customers today (upper part is in German, the lower part is in English).

Today our shop is 2 years old! We opened our kawaii shop modes4u.com on 20th March 2008 and we have come very far since then. Our shop is successully operating to employ 3 people fulltime and keep us busy. We have lots of plans for the 3rd year of our shop including lots of new products, a new shop template, more functions in the shop and a lot more. Happy Birthday modes4u!

Our 1500th online shop order was placed in our shop today! We are so excited here about this. The customer is from Wuppertal, Germany. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! to all our customers! You cannot imagine how happy we are that our hard work is paying off and our shop is getting more popular.

We ordered some more cute hoodies as our bear ear hoodies are really popular among our customers. This time we got a cute brown hoodie with long bunny ears and short sleeves. It is a Korean design and just super cute for a girl or young adult. It can be worn as a normal sweater or as a longshirt/dress with boots.

Another hoodie we got is a grey hoodie with a giraffe print on it. It is also quite long, has fake fur in the hood and a really cute mother giraffe with baby giraffe print on it.

And another hoodie we got is a teddy bear hoodie. It is pink, long, has a fluffy teddy bear in the front and also a fluffy hood. Taylor Momsen from the popular TV series “Gossip Girl” has one as well. That hoodie looks great with a pair of leggings and boots.

I was looking for a supplier for the popular fancy stationery brands from Japan for quite a while now. These brands are: Q-lia, Mind wave, Crux, Kamio, Coolpool, Cram Cream etc. I wanted to order directly from Japan to make sure that we get the best price possible and also the newest items as soon as they are available. It took me really a long time to finally find a direct business contact in Japan for these brands. They even have an office in Hong Kong to present the brands and I set up an appointment to check out their office, talk about how to work together and most importantly, see their products. So today, Alan and I went to their office, which is surprisingly just a 5min drive by taxi from our office, and met with the boss. She was a very nice lady and we talked for 2 hours about our future collaboration and she also gave us tons of catalogs with all the super cute stationery items inside. We also visited their warehouse and picked up quite a lot of items to put them quickly into our shop. We are going to order from them very often from now on because these cute, kawaii items are just the perfect match for our kawaii shop.
