Some people asked me to add more pics of the office after our move was finished. So I took some pics today in my office and you can see them below. As you may recognize, there is still some empty space. We plan to buy some more shelves as we are buying more and more products and expand our stock. We will also buy 1-2 tables for my husband to work here and for taking pictures of our products.

We now have a Fan Page on Facebook too. On this page we present new products, offer special offers only for our Facebook Fans (discounts, free gifts and more) and keep our customers updated. Additional we publish all our product pictures there, even if they are already sold out. You can comment on these pictures to show us which items we should restock. A customer of mine sent me a photo of her apron today. She made it with fabric she ordered in my shop and resold it to one of her customers. Such a cute pink monkey kawaii apron, it’s really an unique special item. Thanks to Lacey from the US. I would be very glad to receive more pictures from my customers with products they bought from us and I would be very happy to blog about them too.

Today we celebrate the 1 year anniversary of our kawaii shop modes4u.com!!! YAY! Exactly one year ago we launched our new kawaii shop and it has happened a lot since then. The start was slow, as it is hard for every new online shop to get visitors, and more importantly CUSTOMERS. We invested a lot of time and effort into making our shop more “Google-friendly” and did a lot of internal SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to bring our shop to the top search results in Google. It was a good decision as our shop is now listed very well for important keywords we have. Therefore, the number of visitors and customers grew steadily since the beginning and we are almost at the 200th order mark now. Another very good decision was to allow our wholesale customers to order directly online instead of ordering from catalogs. This way, our wholesale customers are able to see what items we have in stock right now and can make their bulk orders and get the items fast. I expect a lot from our cute shop for the 2nd year: A lot more visitors, customers and of course ORDERS.

Today I got post from MAC as I am a VIP customer and get invitations and new product introductions by mail. The envelope is a bright pink and included a very nice, glossy brochure which shows pics of the new MAC Hello Kitty products campaign. MAC will launch their Hello Kitty make up line on 12.3.2009 in Hong Kong. I see a lot of famous brands cooperate with Hello Kitty’s Sanrio and other cute brands nowadays. Kawaii cute items get more and more popular, not only in Japan but worldwide. Therefore I can see a very big potential in our super cute kawaii shop modes4u.
