Today the courier brought the newest Spring 2011 Kokka catalog directly from Japan. All the new Kokka, echino, miriporun, petite ecole and November Books fabrics are included. There are lots of new cute fabrics available. And the best news: We ordered some of them already and they should arrive by the end of next week (around 15th of October). I am so glad shipping bo boat from Japan to Hong Kong only takes 1 week. We should be one of the first shops selling those fabrics around the world! Today two new Kokka fabrics from Japan arrived. One fabric is a jersey fabric with cute black kitties on it, the other fabric is a heavy fabric with little red deers. If you click on the pictures below, you will be redirected to the shop item directly:

Unfortunately, Kokka doesn’t make fabric buttons with their cute fabrics, but we do get lots of questions from customers asking about Kokka buttons. Therefore we decided to make them ourselves. We do have quite a big selection of Kokka fabrics now and many of them are suitable for making buttons. The size of the characters on the fabric are just the right size for buttons. We used our popular Matryoshka Animals fabric and the winter deer fabric for making the first buttons. See below some pictures of how we make those buttons and the finished cute Kokka buttons:

We received four new Kokka fabrics from Japan today. They are all fairy tale fabrics with characters like Little Red Riding Hood, Bremen Town Musicians, Bambi, Tom Thumb and more. All fabrics are made in Japan and are super adorable. I imagine those fabrics are perfect as curtains for children, pillow cases, as a dress, patchwork, buttons or anything else cute you can imagine. Zakkalife wrote another blog post about one of our Kokka fabrics, the pink Alice in Wonderland fabric. She got that fabric a while ago and had some leftover and decided to make cute Alice hairclips with them. I really like the matte finish of the hairclips. Have a look at them:

Today we received a big delivery of the newest Kokka fabrics from Japan + some restocked fabrics we sold out already. We are so excited to finally have the newest fabrics in our shop. Those Japanese fabrics are just gorgeous and so cute. The quality is as usual perfect and the prints are super accurate and colourful. We also received another delivery of bento boxes as well today. Remember I wrote about the Zakka Life Blog and that we are their sponsor now? Jessica received our fabrics and created an amazingly cute project: small stuffed pillows for her daughter’s dolls house. Have a look at her blog post. When you see the first picture, you think those pillows are normal size pillows, but then you scroll down and see that they are actually tiny ones. So cute! Today we had a visit from a Kokka employee because they wanted to show us the newest designs they just released. That’s so super convenient when the suppliers come to your office to show you their newest collection. I must say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE their new collection. There are so many adorable, cute, kawaii, lovely fabrics, it will be really hard to choose which ones we will order. Unfortunately, I cannot order all of them because there is a budget limit Below you can see some of my favourite new fabrics from Kokka. I hope we will get them for our shop soon.

Today, we received a delivery of almost 40 bolts of Kokka fabrics from Japan. I was waiting for them impatiently because I couldn’t wait to see all the new cute patterns. We got Kokka fabrics with Matroshka dolls, kittens, Alice in Wonderland, toadstool, peach blossom, deers, monkeys, skulls and many more.

We had some fun in the office building a fabric pyramid with all the fabric bolts and took some pics.
