mt Washi Tapes rated ‘good’ by German magazine

A lot of people all around the world use mt Washi Tapes from Japan for crafting and decorating, among them are many children. Therefore it is important to know that mt Masking Tapes are really safe. Japan has very high quality regulations and mt tapes fulfill the standards of The Japanese Food Sanitation Act, meaning that “mt” is as safe as “ORIGAMI” paper with which children play. Also the production facilities are ISO14001-certified.

But the tape manufacturer also got the seal of quality by Öko-Test, a big well-known German consumer magazine for health and environmental product testing. The magazine tests thousands of products yearly and rated mt Washi Tapes “good” which is the second highest rating possible.

Christmas crafts: Washi Tape Christmas Tree Bunting

A cookie cutter can be such a handy crafting tool. For today’s Christmas DIY we used it to make a colourful Christmas tree bunting. We made a Masking Tape pattern and then traced the shape of the cookie cutter onto it. Then you just cut out your shapes and string everything with the help of needle and thread.

Christmas crafts: Washi Tape Table Christmas Tree

In today’s Christmas DIY we made a cute Christmas tree table decoration. We cut out a cone from a regular big envelope and started sticking Washi Tape on it. You start from the bottom and go up layer by layer. To achieve the tree effect do not stick the tape stripe completely onto the cone, but leave the end sticking out. As you can see we also made tree version where we did not leave the ends loose, but the ‘real’ tree version looks a lot better.
