Our kawaii shop is in Halloween mood and therefore we designed three really cute Halloween shop headers. One design is with matryoshka dolls dressed as witches, another one is with black cats and pumpkins and the third one is with a ghost, candy and stars. All three designs rotate randomly on our shop. We already started selling this year’s Halloween fabrics and Christmas fabrics in our store modes4u.com. Luckily, some of our suppliers have some really awesome fabrics with cute prints this year so we immediately ordered them. Most of the fabrics are Japanese fabrics with, for example pandas dressed as Santa Claus, matryoshkas dressed as witches, cute reindeers, colourful mushrooms, candy and cookies and many more. Great news! We now have super cute stamps with patterns like matryoshka dolls, animals, deer, strawberry girl and more. We make the stamps and designs ourselves, therefore they are unique and cannot be found anywhere else! It is quite a lot of work to make the design of each stamp but the result is just amazing. These stamps are special, you don’t need an inking pad and we only use high quality material and ink. We plan to add a lot more stamps, like fairy tale characters, animals, cute Chinese New Year designs, cute food and many more.

Yay, we just got a new delivery of Japanese fabrics from Cosmo today. The fabrics are super adorably cute and amazing quality. Typical Japanese craftmanship. We got many new prints including deers, squirrels, matryoshka dolls, cupcakes, animals and more. Here are some of my favorite fabrics available in our shop now:

I went to Taste, a local Hong Kong supermarket, today and found something really interesting: they had “fake” Kokka bedsheets! The beedsheets’ fabric is copied from the Matryoshka Animals Kokka fabric, the characters are just oversized. Even Kokka is not safe from fakes anymore. Have a look at the photos I took in the supermarket:

We got a huge delivery of new deco tapes with more than 100 new designs today. There are many patterns like Alice in Wonderland, Matryoshka dolls, cute animals, sweets, candy, cupcakes, cakes, macaroons, mushrooms and many many more. Deco tapes can be used for many different things, like decorating your stationery, homeware, kitchen and bathroom tiles, your bike and anything else you can think of.

We got a new blog design for this blog today! I wanted to have a cuter blog template than the one we used before. Therefore we decided to use one of our favorite and topselling Japanese fabrics as a background picture. It is the pink matryoshka animals fabric by Kokka. Bento Boxes are a new trend for making attractive lunch boxes for children for kindergarten or school. In Japan, mothers prepare their kids’ lunch in so called “bento boxes” and the food is presented in a very cute way. There are Hello Kitty shaped vegetables, rice balls with faces and so on. It is getting more popular in Western countries as well. The bento boxes themselves are usually really cute lunch boxes with characters like Hello Kitty, Rilakkuma or some really cute animals. The most current trend is bento boxes with fairy tale prints like Alice in Wonderland, Little Red Riding Hood or Snow White and Matryoshka. Matryoshka is the famous Russian doll with a set of dolls of decreasing sizes placed one inside the other. They are the most popular designs at the moment.

Our customers asked to get these bento boxes for our shop and therefore we sourced a supplier with really cute animal bento boxes and cutlery sets. The bento boxes are 2-layered lunch boxes with a pair of cute chopsticks. They come in 4 different colors and animal patterns: pink (piggy), green (frog), blue (bear) and yellow (bear). We also have the matching cutlery sets with chopsticks, fork and spoon. We just found another bento box supplier from Japan who will ship us our first order at the end of this month.

Bento boxes can be used as many different things, including their original use as a lunch box, as a sandwich box, for keeping bits and pieces, as a make-up case or many other things.

Today we finally received our first order of Kokka fabrics from Japan. They were sent by courier directly from Kokka’s warehouse and it took only 1 day to arrive. It’s definitely an advantage to be in Hong Kong

We ordered fabrics with prints like christmas deers, matryoshka animals, cute bears, black kitty, toadstools, Alice in Wonderland and matryoshka dolls. Below you can see 2 pics I took to show you how the fabric bolts were delivered. They came in 2 huge long packages wrapped with a very strong paper outside and plastic wrapping inside.
