I got a visit from 2 representatives from Alibaba.com today. Alibaba is the biggest sourcing website for finding suppliers in China and Asia. Until now we had a free account there to promote our company and products to possible customers in Europe and USA. We get enquiries almost every day but having a free account has a big disadvantage: the number of products is limited to 50pcs only. A friend of mine got a Gold Membership last year but never activated it because of personal reasons and he offered me to take over his membership for free. That is a really generous offer because usually these memberships cost around 40,000 HKD (~ 4,000 EURO) per year.  I promised him to send him a cheque if we find a lot more customers with this new account. So the guys from Alibaba came to check out my office and verify the business address. I will get the new Gold Member account within the next few days and I will be able to upload and promote as many products I have. Keeping my fingers crossed to find more potential wholesale customers for my business.

This week we got some new items we haven’t had before. Today we got some really cute, kawaii bags from Pinkfoot in Korea. There are 2 different sizes and we got a few different designs including prints with bunnies, panda, bear, ducks, korean girl and many more. Today we got a few thousand new items. There are fingerless gloves, purses, wallets, hairclips, canvas shoulder bags and belts. Lots and lots of new products with prints like skulls, cherries, stars, polka dots, checker, stripes, roses, swallow, iron cross, butterfly, crossbones and many more.

It took a while to upload all our new products but finally all our products are online. It is so much work until they are finally online. Here is an idea of what we have to do:

Today we finished our project taking photos of all our new products. YAY! I am very happy with the result. Our products look really good like that, don’t you agree?

Today we started with our new project of taking pictures of all our new products. Yesterday I met with a design student whose hobby is taking photos and discussed with him the details. Now, he and a friend of him are taking pictures of all our new products.

We got lots of new products the last few weeks but never had time to take care of them. Now they are busy taking photos of hundreds of products. I also told them to take pictures of our clothes with the new mannikin we got. It will present our clothes better than before. I can’t wait to see the final pictures. It should take a few days for them to finish and then Markus will take care of the editing.
