Help friends by telling your wishes!

Do you know how hard it is to guess which kawaii gift you would like ?
The answer is: 1 out of 13000 ! (modes4u has 13000 items online!)

Your friends and family would be highly appreciated if you can give them some hints!

Help your friends by sharing your wish list

If you’re a fan of browsing online shops, you might have noticed a function called the Wish List.

What exactly is that? Well, a Wish List is a list in which you can add and keep track of items you really like, such as scented squishies, Robert Kaufman fabrics, bento boxes etc. You’re not making a purchase, you’re simply noting down the items you’d like to get, in a convenient list.

Wish lists can be shared with your friends and family, so they can see what you like too! This is really handy when someone is shopping for birthday presents, Christmas gifts etc.

So how do you use the Wish List on our site? Here’s what you do:

1) Click on any product to get to its product description

In the product description, click on the button that says 'Add to Wish List'

5) You’ll see your Wish List again, and you’ll have the option to share it via Facebook, Twitter or email. This allows you to share your Wish List with your friends and family!

New Japanese stationery by San-X

I wrote a couple of days ago that we received a new delivery from Japan. Finally, we finished adding all products to our shop. It took us very long this time because we had a few other deliveries at the same time and had to take literally hundreds of photos and write descriptions for all those products. You can imagine, that is a lot of work. But we are finally done and all San-X stationery is available online in our kawaii shop. There are lots of new plastic file folders, cute letter sets, pencil cases and pouches, pencils, rulers and bento boxes:

Turning off our old software today

As I mentioned before here, we are switching to a new software to handle our products, customers, orders and a lot more. We tested this new custom made software for one month now and we are ready to turn off the old one. Bye bye Afterbuy! We won’t miss you ;-) Our new software is going to make our life a lot easier and will even make it possible to ship orders faster! How? The post office closes at 5pm, so the last orders can be packed at 4pm. With this new software, we can get the latest paid orders to our shipping department just before 4pm and therefore ship them on the same day. Before, we couldn’t do that and had to ship those new incoming orders the next day. And now it is time to turn off the old software and use the new one! YAY

3000th order in our shop

YAY YAY YAY we got our 3,000th order in our shop today! We can’t believe how popular our shop is now! Thanks to everyone for your support, your recommendations to your friends and family and more! Our 3,000th order is from a nice lady from Magnolia, Texas, USA. Thank you! We promise we will keep working hard on making this shop the cutest shop with the most kawaii products on the internet!

Expanding our warehouse space

We ordered some more shelves for our office so we can expand our warehouse space and stock more products. We totally ran out of space and had to get more shelves. I took some pictures to show how hard we worked today ;-)

Day 3 in Japan – Part 2

When you are in Harajuku, visiting Harajuku Daiso is a MUST! Almost everything costs only 100 Yen, which is about 0,82 Euro or US$1.07. Even big things like bento boxes are so cheap there. They have almost anything you can imagine: kitchen ware, stationery, DIY stuff, candy, cleaning supplies, plants and much more.

Professional Scanner

We bought a professional scanner for our office for scanning products, fabric swatches, catalogs, books, magazines and so on. Our old scanner isn’t good enough for high quality pictures, so we invested the money into this new toy: Microtek ScanMaker i800
