Nowadays, there really are all sorts of fabric designs out there, so you are bound to find gorgeous fabrics suitable for any creative idea you may have in mind! We just came across a lovely quilt designed by Ariga Mahmoudlou, featuring one of our favorite Robert Kaufman fabrics for kids in our shop. This delightful free sewing pattern will allow you to make a great home decor item, while also helping any young child learn their letters, and the names of some beloved animals! Something handmade and beautiful to keep warm… What else is there to wish for?
Learning the alphabet with animal names and depictions is yet a classic, but we find this particular panel fabric so cute and cool because of the general fabric design, the color choice, and especially because of the superb schematic animal drawings. If you are a fan of illustration and animal patterns, you will love them! Besides, the pattern is pretty easy to sew, being recommended for beginners, but you will also practice cutting, assembling etc. some colorful pinwheels that embellish the 3-tiered frame, helping to make the most out of the full central panel. The finished quilt measures 45 x 63 inches, that is about 160 x 114.5 centimeters.
Check out the images below for an overview of the finished free quilting project featuring this charming Robert Kaufman panel fabric, plus some images of solid color fabrics that can be used for this project too. Go for it, and send us pictures of your quilt, we would love to see and share them!
