We at modeS4u love to get creative with fabrics, like many of our awesome customers do, and we greatly enjoy working on our own sewing or crafting projects to help celebrate the season or any special occasion! This time it was Sandra, modeS4u’s founder, who created a beautiful advent calendar for her son, Mason, out of Christmas fabrics: check out the images included below for a good look at the wonderful result!
As you will see, Sandra made one small Christmas stocking for each day of Advent. On one side of the stocking, she used matching patterned fabrics in basic colors like green yellow, red, blue and white. The motifs featured were in a traditionally Xmas style: snowflakes, polka dots, little stars, Santa Claus, presents, Christmas trees, reindeer, polar bears, and penguins, some with winter clothes and accessories. These cleverly designed fabrics aptly included the date numbers 1 to 24, how convenient is that? Mixing them up meant Mason could have some extra fun and anticipation while looking for the right one! 🙂
Sandra added fluffy white fabric on the top of each stocking, and a tiny loop of string to easily hang them from their desired location. For the back, she used yet another matching fabric featuring Santa and the sweet winter animals over a dark blue background: this way, stockings can be just turned over once empty, but the fabric calendar stays whole and keeps looking gorgeous! How do you like it? Have you made your own advent calendar this year? If you have, please send us photos! We love to see and share your creations!
