Oh, look what we just found!! Yui Tamaki has turned 1 square meter of Kokka fabric into a simple, elegant, comfy-looking and altogether irresistible apron. You will definitely love to have it in your kitchen, and some of us simply can’t wait to make our own!
It features a single shoulder strap that you can adjust easily with a D ring on the back. There are also two thin waist straps that will keep it in place and make it fit better when tied. This beautiful canvas fabric is a blend of cotton and linen, with a honeycomb pattern looking like yellowish gemstones. The fabric features a contrasting blue zig-zag design on one of its edges, that becomes a perfect counterpoint as used in Yui Tamaki’s design.
Check here for the free sewing pattern to find out how she has laid out all necessary parts of the apron, pocket and straps included, with only one square meter of fabric. Amazingly clever!! We are really stunned by her talented design, and believe the apron to be absolutely gorgeous. Hopefully, you will love it as much as we do, and decide to give it a try…It looks pretty easy, even if you are not an experienced sewist!
We have included a number of fabric suggestions, should you wish to give this a go with some other designs!
Oh, and do remember to send us your pictures of your completed project, please, as we always love to see and share what you do!
