When wrapping up their trip to Tokyo, modeS4u’s Managing Director and IT Manager, Sandra and Alan, came across the works of some very talented designers who work with DIY products. The first artist, Kuroda Tsubasa, uses pom poms to create realistic looking cats and dogs! The second artist is Nakayama Midori, who uses felt to also create very realistic furry friends. Check out some fun images of their work here!

At the Japan Hobby Show this year, we came across some of the most incredible “food” treats, made entirely out of wool! That’s right, some of the sweet treats we found were really woolly masterpieces, proving you don’t have to be a knitting pro to make something fun with wool! We also saw the most stunning “desserts” made of clay, done with and without the help of clay molds and craft accessories. They’re so realistic, no one would blame you if you thought you could eat them. From fruity treats to cakes, these creations were colorful and a feast for the eyes. We also came across beautiful plants made entirely out of clay too. These plants are extremely popular, with many individuals adorning their homes and work places with these handmade decorative pieces.
