Sunshine City in Tokyo Part 4: Rilakkuma, Hello Kitty & friends

When we visited Tokyo’s Sunshine City during one of our last business trips of course we also saw lots of shops and products with our favourite characters. So today we show you some pictures we took with Rilakkuma, Hello Kitty, My Melody and so on. In such a huge shopping complex there is room for the craziest products and it’s always super impressive to see so many products with one character on the same spot. It’s almost impossible to choose your favourite product then, because all of them are so cute.

The cutest cookies ever! By accident we discovered the shop Icingland in Hong Kong that sells the most amazing cookies. Their icing and decoration is so detailed, it is really impressive. They have incredibly cute Hello Kitty and Rilakkuma cookies from different collections. Their website is just in Chinese, but obviously you can also send them pictures and they will make and decorate cookies for you.

Hello Kitty & friends at 7-Eleven stores in Hong Kong

The convenience stores 7-Eleven in Hong Kong have had quite a few cute promotions this year already. A couple of days ago they started their latest one revolving around the most popular Sanrio characters and sweets. In the 7-Eleven x Sanrio Sweet Delight promotion you can collect lovely Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Little Twin Stars etc. figures with candy and pastry.

For every purchase of 20 HKD you get a stamp, when you have collected a certain amount you can claim a surprise box, which contains one of the characters. We’re totally in love with all the figures, but also with the presentation. Do you have a favourite already?

Cute Hello Kitty collection at Chocoolate Hong Kong

The sailor look is the flavour of the month! So it’s not surprising that the fashion label Chocoolate and Sanrio teamed up to release a super kawaii maritime Hello Kitty collection. You can buy the cute shirts, bags and accessories like umbrellas or pouches in all Chocoolate stores in Hong Kong at the moment. The designs are very lovely, everything is full of dots, stripes and sailor caps in blue, white and red. The look suits Hello Kitty very well.

Incredible Kiddy Land Store in Japan

On our last trip to Japan we also visited the incredible Kiddy Land store in Tokyo. The store has four different levels full of toys and kawaii stuff. One level is fully dedicated to San-X’s Rilakkuma and Sanrio’s characters like Hello Kitty or My Melody. The store in Tokyo was closed for quite a while and just reopened shortly before we visited. We were really surprised when we got there because people were waiting in front of the store when it was still closed and rushed in as soon as the doors would open. We can definitely see why, as it was an amazing experience to stroll past all the shelves. There is so much cuteness, you don’t even know where to start. Here are some impressions for you. Cute Hello Kitty Fairy Tale Plushies at McDonalds Hong Kong

McDonald’s in Hong Kong has an adorable promotion at the moment. Every week you can get a different super kawaii Hello Kitty plush toy in a special fairy tale design for 25 HKD on top of your order. Hello Kitty is dressed up as the Ugly Duckling, Frog Prince, The Wizard of Oz and Little Red Riding Hood. The little hood can be removed, but it just looks so cute. Of course there are always according food offers to the theme of every week, but we totally focus on the colourful plushies. You can also buy the whole set and get the cutest Hello Kitty owl ever in a special collector’s kit.

The promotion seems to go quite well, at least we’ve already seen quite a few people getting the whole set. Which plushie would you buy?
