Temarizushi Teamwork!

Recently, we held a delicious team building event, which saw the team at modeS4u working to create Temarizushi (Japanese rice balls) masterpieces! Divided into small groups, each group was tasked with creating and decorating 15 rice balls in all sorts of beautiful and funny ways with yummy ingredients such as seaweed, salmon, snapper and more, within 30 minutes. Leading this activity was Ms. Yuki of Yuki’s Table; she alongside head of modeS4U, Sandra, judged the many colorful designs. They ultimately decided upon the winning group, whose creations included rice balls with a cat face, vampire face and many other designs. After the event, everyone was then able to eat their scrumptious creations so really, we were all winners! Does this post make you hungry? Happy Garlic Day!

It’s Garlic Day today (yes that’s actually a thing)! Garlic has been a must-have in many yummy food dishes from pasta to curry, all over the globe. Not only does it make food taste delicious, it also has numerous health benefits too such as helping to reduce cholesterol and heal wounds. Our favourite product of the week: Rilakkuma Egg Bento Set

With this set your lunch becomes the most delicious meal of the day. We now carry a super cute and quite elaborate bento set from the “Rilakkuma Egg Kitchen” collection. It is our favourite product of the week. The set consists of a cool plaid lunch bag with two little bento boxes for side dishes and one insulated box for rice, pasta etc. A little fork is included in an extra case too. Your lunch can stay hot up to 6 hours in the insulated bag and it’s really comfortable to carry around. Plus the Rilakkuma design is very kawaii.

Sunshine City in Tokyo Part 1: Bento accessories

During our last business trips to Japan we also visited Sunshine City. The super big complex is Tokyo’s first city within the city and contains lots of shops, restaurants, an aquarium, planetarium, museum, indoor theme park, a hotel and offices.

We were interested in looking at the shops to find kawaii products and were super impressed. It was a shopping paradise! We took so many pictures of all the things that we decided to split them up into different themed blog posts, so that you can see all of them. Today we’ll start with bentos and kitchen accessories. It’s so amazing how much super cute stuff they have there: thousands of chopsticks, bento boxes and all the bento accessories you could imagine.
