A couple of days ago we added fabrics from the super cute Hello Tokyo collection by Robert Kaufman to our shop. While browsing the web we found some incredible pictures on what to use those fabrics for. We saw these photos on the blog The Red Thread written by Lisa Tilse. Lisa designed the collection for Robert Kaufman and showed really great examples of what to do with the Hello Tokyo fabrics. We’re totally in love with all those adorable cushions which you can sew with the big Kokeshi doll fabric. How do you like these ideas?

You might have noticed some of the funky new designs in our fabric section already. We now carry Alexander Henry fabrics in our shop and love the new designs. Until now we mainly added Christmas fabrics, but many more will follow in the next weeks. One of our favourites already is the kawaii Kokeshi doll fabric that we ordered in different colours.
The textile design house Alexander Henry is situated in California, USA, and has been in the fabric business for more than 30 years. They make cutting-edge cotton prints and each pattern is still painted by hand. Their fabrics are made in Japan, so they really stand for high quality. They say themselves that their designs are inspired by art history, runway fashion and the culture at large, which we think really shows in their prints, e.g. their big pin-up series that’s clearly inspired by the 50s. How do you like them?
