New Sanrio friends and Hello Kitty fabrics in our shop

Great news for all fans of Hello Kitty, My Melody and Little Twin Stars. We received cute new Sanrio fabrics and the little white cat brought along new friends. Meet Kirimi-chan the cute Salmon fillet and Gudetama the lazy egg. At first glimpse they may not seem as kawaii and cuddly as her other pals, but their authenticity makes up for it. Tasty looking Kirimi-chan was introduced after Sanrio fans hungry for more, voted her ‘most wanted character‘, while no other egg in the world can reflect our unmotivated mood like inert Gudetama. Therefore, we are convinced that this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Kawaii Doll Festival with Hello Kitty cakes

Today is a special day for all little girls in Japan. It’s ‘Hinamatsuri‘ or Doll Festival. This lovely celebration is not so well known outside of Japan and the counterpart to Children’s Day in May, when families celebrate their boy’s well-being.
The doll theme is also taken up by many shops, just like this Tokyo based bakery that sells cute cakes with doll decoration and adorable Hello Kitty designs. For boys and girls, this is an irresistible feast for the eyes.

Polar bears are some of our most favorite animals and an international symbol in the fight to reduce global warming. Therefore, we like to remind ourselves that the beautiful white bear’s future is in our hands. Since these wonderful creatures live far away in their arctic homes, we celebrate this day with Rilakkuma and his friends and take note with our cute new polar bear stationary.

Rilakkuma riches. A golden bear for Hong Kong

Hong Kong cinema may not have won this year’s golden bear of the Berlin International Film Festival and the outlook for the Academy Awards isn’t too promising either. Luckily, a local jeweler has designed the city’s very own award winning decoration. We spotted this Giant Rilakkuma Gold Figurine along with a diamond necklace in Hong Kong’s prestigious district Causeway Bay. Price information was only available upon request, but we think the lazy bear is a priceless treasure anyways. Rilakkuma is always stress free and relaxed and enjoys eating pancakes and pudding. We just can’t help, but think he is the true jewel here.

Our fabrics are the cover garments of Sew Magazine

Do you like this stunning top on the cover of the February issue of Britain’s Sew Magazine? We adore it and it was made with our birch flag fabric. We teamed up with Sew Magazine and sponsored two organic birch fabrics that were used for cover garments and we couldn’t be happier. Both the peplum top and the dress look amazing.
