This year we met the fun Mofutans Mochi bunnies for the first time. There are quite a few of the cute rabbits; let’s get to know them better:
Mofutans Mochi rabbits are fluffy little bunnies that are extremely stretchy. They are as stretchy as the Japanese dessert Mochi and also as sticky as Mochi, because when they touch each other, they stick together. This happens quite a lot because they like to play and bite each other. If they are not playing together, they comb their super soft fur. Each Mofutans character is inspired by real rabbit breeds. So who is in the Mofutans familiy?
Mofutans
Mofutans is a white rabbit and the main character of the Mofutans family. He is very, very stretchy and a lot of times you will see him stretched super long because his friends were pulling him. He has long ears that almost hang on the ground. When he feels good his ears go up.
Tomotan
The grey rabbit Tomotan is Mofutans closest friends. Indeed they are so close that you will see Tomotan biting on Mofutans a lot. It looks like Tomotan is eating rice cake, but he is just gently nagging on his friend.
Potechi
The brown rabbit Potechi has the same color like potato chips. He is quite a naughty bunny, but also very popular among all the other rabbits.
Chamu Chamu
Chamu Chamu has grey ears and a lot of fur. He is so furry that you can’t even see his legs. He loves to eat and always puts way too much food in his mouth.
Norimaki
Norimaki has dark grey/black marks and looks like he’s wearing a mask. He is always sleepy.
Angorajisan
This ball of fur is the the elderly rabbit Angorajisan. He is really old but also very wise.
Ikimonogakari
The small pink rabbit is very tiny. Nobody knows what rabbit breed he is, it is an unknown type. This makes him very special. He easily makes friends with all the other rabbits.
According to Chinese zodiac 2015 is the Year of the Sheep. To celebrate it San-X released a very cute Rilakkuma limited plush toy edition. The Rilakkuma Chinese New Year sheep plushies have Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori wearing cute sheep costumes and holding lucky Daruma dolls.
Only a few retailers outside Japan are allowed to sell this limited edition, so be sure to get one if the Year of the Sheep has a special meaning to you.
We spotted so many lovely projects from our customers over the last months again on our Facebook site that it’s about time we introduce them here on the blog:
Samodiva’s Treasures sewed a lovely kindle cover with our Camelot Dream A Little Dream fabric. Don’t you just want to get comfy and start reading?
Isn’t this diaper bag just amazing? Le Petit Monde de Lilaxel? sewed it using our Michael Miller Summer Night Lights Border fabric.
Our customer Evelin Mostafa made a gorgeous bag set with a handbag, coin case and pouch using our pretty Timeless Treasures autumn fabric.
Les Bêtes de Céline showed us pictures of lots of pretty loop scarfs that she made. This one is sewn with our Spring sampler organic fabric by Cloud 9.
Per sfizio ma non solo showed us several projects on Facebook. She made a gorgeous pencil wrap case using several of our fabrics like e.g. the teal Urchin Forest organic birch fabric. She also showed her great project how to turn an old pair of jeans into a skirt and used some of our fabrics like the pretty Voile Koi fabric as embellishment.

Redecorate Con Lola Godoy? made a lovely fridge magnet notepad that she covered with our Timeless Treasures raspberry fabric.
And finally also a non-fabric related product. Isabelle Torloting from the blog Lovin Bento used our 4pcs Eiffel Tower bento box set to make a delicious bento.
Merry Christmas to all of you from the whole modes4u team. Have a wonderful holiday with the ones you love and may there be lots of cuteness. We just discovered this super cute Rilakkuma wallpaper, click on the picture if you want to download it for free.
If you’re still looking for last minute ideas for Christmas decorations, check out our Our favorite Christmas DIY ideas board on Pinterest. We pinned many projects that we loved throughout the last months. Some DIYs are a bit more complex, especially if they require sewing. However, there are also lots of super easy ones like the cute cork reindeer DIY or the Rilakkuma charm Christmas tree that we absolutely adore. And how cute is that peanut chain?
This year we had an amazing Christmas dinner with the whole modes4u team. We got to have an awesome Christmas dinner buffet at the very nice Cafe of Hyatt Regency Hotel in the district Sha Tin. The whole buffet area was decorated with snowmen, Santas, gingerbread houses, Christmas trees and lots of other Christmas symbols. The food was delicious too, it was a great selection of foods from all over the world, but of course there were some special Christmas treats like turkey and lots of wonderful Christmas desserts. They even had a chocolate fondue and you could dip biscuits and fruit into hot chocolate. So yummy.

We have two lovely new organic fabric collections by birch in our shop. Acorn Trail is by Tegan White and a very cute collection with flower, bug and forest animal designs. A lot of the prints also include the cute girl Penny who hangs out with her forest animal friends.
Feather River is by Jay-Cyn Designs and revolves around the theme of Camping. There are lots of pretty nature and animal designs with bears, birds, trees, camping scenes and so on.
Many prints of both collections are also available as knits, flannels or strong canvas fabrics.
Every year bloggers make incredible Christmas DIYs with our Christmas products, this year was no exception. Here are some great projects you definitely have to see:
On the blog Per Sfizio Ma Non Solo you can find a tutorial (In Italian) for a super cute skirt with the theme “Frozen”. Our cute Robert Kaufman snowman fabric was used for the pockets.
The blog Mi Rincon De Mariposas made really nice Christmas pyjamas for children with our Robert Kaufman and Riley Blake knit fabrics. The color choice of red and green is perfect for Christmas, but the fabric designs are neutral enough to wear it throughout the whole year.
The Italian YouTuber SsVersion DIY made a video with a super cute DIY for Christmas tree ornaments. She used our cute Holiday Hoot owl fabrics to craft super adorable decorations.
The Spanish blogger Diario De Naii made a great set of items with our adorable Christmas penguin fabric. She sewed an apron, potholders and a fabric basket with it.
For a long time our cute office mascot green penguin from Sumikkogurashi was just too shy to present his favorite Christmas presents from our shop. But he doesn’t want to miss his chance so he finally came out of his shell. Here are his picks:
1. Sumikkogurashi Plush Tree
This fun Sumikkogurashi plush tree is a very unusual but fun present. You could store little figurines or plushies in it.
2. Sumikkogurashi Ballpoint
Cute stationery is always a winner. The kawaii Sumikkogurashi ballpoint with the penguin figurine on top looks super cute.
3. Sumikkogurashi Clips
The cute Sumikkogurashi clips can be used for so many purposes: holding pictures and notes, hanging your laundry, closing open bags and more.
4. Sumikkogurashi Hook
The cute Sumikkogurashi hook is great for your bathroom or the kitchen. It holds your towel or other light items.
