We designed three really cute Christmas header for our kawaii shop. One design is with little black cats and a Christmas tree, another one is with kawaii animals in Christmas stockings and the third one is with some children playing with snow. Those 3 headers rotate randomly in our shop. So you may see a new shop header every time you look at a new page in our shop. I hope you like them as much as we do.

We had a company Dim Sum lunch today. Dim Sum is a very popular breakfast/brunch/lunch thing in Hong Kong. You can order lots of steamed food like dumplings, buns, meat/shrimp/seafood/fish balls, different meat, vegetables, pudding and a lot of more dishes. My favorite is “Har Gow“, shrimp dumplings, they are so delicious. Another very good one is Siu Mai (pork and shrimp dumpling), Charsui Bao (BBQ Pork bun), Xiao Long Bao (steamed pork dumplings) and Lai Wong Bao (custard bun), which is my favorite dessert dish. We had lots of fun and took some pics while enjoying the delicious food.

Our kawaii shop is in Halloween mood and therefore we designed three really cute Halloween shop headers. One design is with matryoshka dolls dressed as witches, another one is with black cats and pumpkins and the third one is with a ghost, candy and stars. All three designs rotate randomly on our shop. Today the courier brought the newest Spring 2011 Kokka catalog directly from Japan. All the new Kokka, echino, miriporun, petite ecole and November Books fabrics are included. There are lots of new cute fabrics available. And the best news: We ordered some of them already and they should arrive by the end of next week (around 15th of October). I get continuously emails from customers asking if we ship to this country or that country. We had a worldwide shipping logo placed on every page of our online shop and also explain in our shipping details that we do ship worldwide. However, people still seemed to be unsure if we ship to their country. We changed the Worldwide Shipping logo to a much bigger one now which is very easy to see on every page of our shop. I hope this will help our customers to see quickly, that we do ship worldwide and even offer free shipping for orders above 60 Euro / US$78 / £54. Wohooo, I have great news today: I received a book from France today. What is so special about this book? My shop www.modes4u.com is published in it! We were talking with the author of this book a while ago and sent her some clay products for her book project. Now, the miniature sweets book is finally published and we are in it! Good news everyone, we are in the new “Alles für die Frau” magazine from Germany. They have a deco & style section and our deco tapes were recommended there as a great way to quickly redecorate furniture, home accessoires and gifts. We are so excited about that! This is our first magazine referral for our kawaii shop modes4u. We actually got a few more emails from other magazines as well, let’s hope they are going to print our products and shop as well 🙂

We got lots of new products and therefore had to expand our warehouse space. A huge load of Tenshi Neko, Akuma Neko and Mimori bags arrived the other day. We also received lots of new Japanese fabrics for the coming Autumn/Winter 2010 season, including some really cute Halloween and Christmas fabrics from Japan. Our packing table was also upgraded and packing is more efficient now. We put a whole shelf on the table for all the envelopes and plastic bags. On top of the shelf is a bubble wrap roll fixed, so our packing staff can easily pull down some bubble wrap for packing. I took some pictures after we finished setting everything up and looking tidy again. Have a look at the pics here:
