Super kawaii Mameshiba food

If you want to prepare food in the shape of characters, Mameshiba is the way to go. Mameshiba are a hybrid of beans and dogs and very popular characters in Japan. Their bean shape is quite easy and can be made with different food. We found a couple of great examples on different blogs:

Meet the cute Sentimental Circus characters

Sentimental Circus is the second most popular character from the San-X family after Rilakkuma. We also carry more than 400 different Sentimental Circus products in our shop and get new ones frequently. Time to get to know the different circus animals a bit better.

The Sentimental Circus animals are abandoned toys. They gathered from the streets or the corners of the children rooms where they were left and awake every night after the whole town has fallen asleep. Then they start their circus show and every character has a great act to perform. Here are some of the cute fellas:

Shappo

Rabbit Shappo is the ringmaster of the circus and the main character of the Sentimental Circus crew. He always wears a small top hat which has needles, thread and magic props hidden inside. He is very good at fancywork and tries to dress well. He has a thing for capes.

Mouton

The turquoise elephant Mouton is very easygoing, but when the curtain goes up he gets very active and starts his acrobatics act. He is great at balancing balls.

Rio

White lion Rio is the biggest plush in the circus. His crest is actually detachable. His circus act is jumping through a hoop.

Mr. Bear

If you want to surprise your loved ones with a little Valentine’s Day treat make a cute Valentine’s Day Bento. We found some really cute Valentine’s Day Bentos on several blogs that might inspire you. They look super adorable and are a great way to express your love. For most of them you just need a heart-shaped food cutter, cookie cutter or rice ball shaper. Heart-shaped bento cups are also a good start.

Our fabrics in the Easter edition of magazine Lena Creativ

We are in love with all the beautiful things the editors of the German creative magazine Lena Creativ made with our fabrics. For their Easter edition they used many of the fabrics from our Dots, Stripe, Checkers category to make lovely projects for outdoor life. We are super impressed with the pillows, covers, parasol, bunting and decoration items. But our favourite one is the lovely big cushion made with one of our Michael Miller cotton sateen fabrics.

Baking with Hello Kitty

We now have the most amazing Hello Kitty baking accessories. The company Silcone Zone that makes avantgarde silicone kitchenware teamed up with Sanrio and released the adorable Siliconezone x Hello Kitty collection. It includes lots of adorable hot pink baking utensils made of silicone with Hello Kitty designs. There are chocolate molds, muffin molds, cake molds, cookie cutters, baking mats, rolling pins, spatulas, silicone coasters and oven mits. Time to start the Hello Kitty baking session.

Celebrate the Year of the Horse

It’s only a couple of days away. On January 31st the Year of the Horse starts. We love Chinese New Year, as there are so many celebrations and beautiful decorations. Today we embellish our blog with cute horse products.

Hello Kitty’s Hello Party at 7 Eleven in Hong Kong

Hello Kitty is turning 40. Of course the kawaii cat is forever young, still she is having a huge party to celebrate her 40th anniversary. The convenience store chain 7 Eleven in Hong Kong is currently offering an adorable series of collectable toys with Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters in the kawaii promotion 7 Eleven x Hello Kitty “Hello Party”. All in all there are 30 little figurines which are released in two steps. The first part of the series was already available in December, the second part can be collected now.

Hello Kitty, Dear Daniel, My Melody, Kuromi and lots of other friends are either dressed up as fairies, wizards or aristocrats like kings, queens, pharaos, sultans and so on.

How to get one of the figurines? For every purchase of 20 HKD you get a stamp, when you have collected a certain amount you can claim a surprise box, which contains one of the characters.

Happy Natural Time with Rilakkuma collection

So kawaii! We now have lots of stationery items from the latest “Happy Natural Time with Rilakkuma” collection in our shop. It’s all about being out in the forest and collecting apples and fruit for delicious home-made pies. Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma are dressed as super cute deer while chick Kiiroitori is dressed as an owl. We love the warm, cozy vibes of this collection.
