It’s nearly December, so it’s time to decorate your computer screen with some kawaii winter designs. We found some very cute wallpapers that you can download for free by clicking on the pictures below.
In today’s Christmas DIY we made a cute Christmas tree table decoration. We cut out a cone from a regular big envelope and started sticking Washi Tape on it. You start from the bottom and go up layer by layer. To achieve the tree effect do not stick the tape stripe completely onto the cone, but leave the end sticking out. As you can see we also made tree version where we did not leave the ends loose, but the ‘real’ tree version looks a lot better.

Today’s Christmas craft: Washi Tape Table Christmas Tree

You need a big envelope and colorful Masking tapes

Fold and cut the envelope into a cone

Start sticking stripes of Washi Tape on it from the bottom

Go up layer by layer and always leave the ends of the tape stripes loose

You can stick to a certain color pattern or just go crazy

It really looks like a tiny Christmas tree

We also made a tree where we attached all of the tape to the cone
Our packing fairy Karen is a big Rilakkuma fan, so of course a Rilakkuma item must not be missing from her list of Christmas gift suggestions from our shop.

Christmas gift ideas by Rilakkuma and Karen – our biggest Rilakkuma fan
1. Picture Frames
Photos are always a nice and personal idea to give as a gift, but how adorable would they look in these fabric covered picture frames?
2. Rilakkuma Plates
The cute Rilakkuma bear plastic plates are great for children, for having picnics or to present snacks and food in a special way.

The fabric manufacturer birch always releases wonderful organic fabric collections. The Fort Firefly collection with its kawaii nature and animal design is a lovely gift for people who like fabrics.
4. Re-Ments
The cute Re-Ment miniature items are super popular among collectors, but they also make a lovely gift for people who do not know them yet.
5. Reversible Pencil Cases
How cool is that? These reversible plush pencil cases have two different designs on the inside and outside. So it’s basically like having two different pencil cases.
6. Sticker Books
People who love stickers also need a place to put them. Fortunately there are lots of kawaii sticker books.
We have lots of new pre-cuts in our shop and while lots of them are in plain colors, there are also a couple taken from designer collections. There are super cool Charm packs and Fat Quarter boxes from Patty Young’s Just My Type collection and Emily Herrick’s Technicolor collection. Also there are different Fat Quarters from Violet Craft’s Waterfront Park collection, Aurelia Manouvrier’s Somerset collection and Bren Talavera’s collections Sierra and Felicity.
Washi Tape Christmas cards are one of the coolest ideas ever. They look so pretty and are unique. This year we made a couple of different models. Some were done super fast; the card with the three little Christmas trees honestly just took one minute to make. Other cards, for example the one with the snowman or the Christmas balls, took a bit longer, as round shapes are a bit more tricky. Which one do you like best?

Today’s Christmas craft: Washi Tape Christmas cards

This year we crafted a few different cards

All you need are plain cards or cardboard and Washi Tape

You can make cards with Christmas tapes, but you can also just use regular ones

You can make shapes or words

Round shapes are a bit more tricky, but also not very hard to make
The Hong Kong Mall The One shows a lovely The One x Rilakkuma Wonderland exhibition. All the designs from the cute Rilakkuma Wonderland collection can be found in big installations. Rilakkuma and his friends enjoy riding the carousel, there is a Rilakkuma band on stage and a big Rilakkuma marching band conducted by Korilakkuma. Above the exhibition area a gigantic inflatable Rilakkuma with a crown does what he’s best at: relaxing.

With Washi Tape it is super easy to craft some unique Christmas window decorations. For this DIY we made some abstract Christmas trees by sticking colorful pieces of Masking Tape on a window in our office. You can make any shape or decoration you want. The tape can be pulled off super easily if you need to correct or remove something.

We used different Washi Tape to stick trees onto the window

We decorated the trees with little stars

The more tapes you have the more color combinations can you do
