Quilt Market 2018 in Portland, USA (Part 3)

To wrap up this summary of Sandra and Alan’s trip to the Quilt Market in Portland, USA, we’ll take a look at a few more suppliers they came across. There were stunning displays by Cloud 9, Kiyohara, Kokka and Trans-Pacific Textiles, showing off all sorts of gorgeous fabrics as well as items made from some of them. These included super cute bags, dresses and more!

After all was said and done, Sandra, Alan and Mason hung out with the team from Cloud 9! Overall, this was a great event with fabric suppliers going all out to show off exciting new designs, many of which you will see in our shop soon. Make sure to keep an eye out for them!

Tokyo Trip: Visiting Kokka

On a recent trip to Tokyo, modeS4u’s Managing Director (Sandra) and IT Manager (Alan), stopped by the brand new office of one of our amazing suppliers, Kokka. This supplier is well known for their incredibly creative and high quality designs and their new office featured row upon row of stunning fabrics. From floral fabrics, to Echino designs, their office was awash with magnificent colors.

Talking business and checking fabrics can really work up an appetite, so the team at Kokka then took Sandra and Alan out for dinner where they all dined on world famous Wagyu beef!

Check out some of the colorful pictures here!

Our visit to the Quilt Market 2015 in Minneapolis: Part3

Although the Quilt Market in Minneapolis is first of all a fabric exhibition for suppliers from the United States, there are also very beautiful Asia fabrics on display. We were able to find amazing new collections from popular brands like Echino and Kokka that will be a great choice for anyone with a soft spot for Japanese designs. We are happy to say that many of the fabrics we chose are already available on modes4u and we are sure that you will love using them to sew wonderful bags, garments and other creative things.

What customers make with our fabrics: bags and Furoshiki

Time for a mini edition of “what customers make with our fabrics”. In the last weeks our Dutch customer fabriekt.nl showed us her beautiful bags she sewed using many of our Kokka and echino fabrics. Our French customer Bienvenue Chez Flaneuze is using our Michael Miller Kiss me fabric and the colorful Timeless Treasures cat fabric as Furoshiki. Furoshiki are traditional Japanese wrapping cloths to transport things.
