Continuing on from our teamLab Borderless blog post, Sandra and Alan also had a chance to experience the teamLab Planets Exhibition in Toyosu, Tokyo.
The exhibition is unique to say the very least! teamLab itself describes it as ‘body immersive’. Featuring an area with water, visitors were required to take off their shoes to enjoy the experience (wet shoes are never fun!). In the water were digital fish that would actually swim around visitors and interact with them! These gorgeous fish came in numerous colors, making for a visual spectacle that certainly left everyone in awe.
Other rooms featured interactive lights and pieces of art. You could spend hours just looking at them! Another room housed giant, lightweight balls to play with!
The entire exhibition is wonderful for both kids and adults so it’s an absolute must for you to visit, if you’re in Tokyo. Hurry though, as this incredible exhibition is scheduled to come to an end in the Fall of 2020! Make sure you visit their website to buy tickets, check their opening times, and for a map of where to find them.
Check out the awesome videos and photos below to see the colorful displays!
