There are millions of pictures of the lazy Rilakkuma bear, but don’t you sometimes wish you could see him “in action”? San-X has put quite a few super cute Rilakkuma movies on their website, where the little bear and his friends come to life. The movies are super short, just 2 or 3 seconds long. They revolve around Rilakkuma’s daily activities: eating, sleeping and being lazy. To celebrate the Aloha Rilakkuma collection there are even two videos, in which the bear is hula dancing. Very kawaii. What do you think about the videos?
The last days have been fluffy, because we have been adding lots of plush toys, plush cellphone charms and plush bags from San-X to our shop. So now we have many new super soft Rilakkumas, Sentimental Circus animals, chocopa bears, Mamegoma seals and Kutusita Nyanko cats.
If you love Rilakkuma you will be happy to hear that we got new stuff from the current Aloha Rilakkuma and Rilakkuma Egg Kitchen collections. The plush toys and cellphone charms in Hawaiian outfits, with sunglasses or surfboards for the Aloha collection and funny chicken costumes for the Egg Kitchen collection are super cute and really catch your eye.
What else is new? We have funny little plush backpacks that you can use as little pouches. Then there is a funny series of screen cleaner charms with almost all San-X characters. The character is always in a funny little sack that can be fold back. So you really have two designs per charm.
Our former customer service fairy Gabi left the modes4u team a couple of weeks ago to become a mum. This week she visited us the first time with her adorable son, who is just four weeks old. Everybody in the office fell in love with the baby at once, even the guys wanted to hold him in their arms.
Of course we couldn’t let the opportunity pass to take a picture with little Jamiro and our big office Rilakkuma. We just put the baby on his comfortable furry belly and the little boy was sleeping happily. What a great baby bed!! Congratulations Gabi, you and little Jamiro are always welcome to take a nap on the big Rilakkuma.

All the team members were totally in love with the baby
San-X seems to be very pleased with the partnership with Hong Kong’s convenience store 7-Eleven. They have just started another promotion throughout Hong Kong which is all about the Rilakkuma egg kitchen collection. You get one of the kawaii Rilakkuma egg products like purses, passport holders, pouches, plush charms and so on, once you have collected 16 little stickers (you get one for every purchase worth 20 HKD).
Especially the little pouches look super cute, the chicken outfits of Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori suit them very well. We’ll have lots of items from the Rilakkuma egg kitchen collection in our shop very soon, as we got quite a few in our last delivery.

Easter is over already, but we still want to show you a couple of pictures from this super cute exhibition we discovered in the Hong Kong Miramar Shopping Centre. It’s all about the funny bright pink MiRabbit who hides in different spots of the mall. The highlight of the exhibition can’t be hidden very well though, because it is a super huge pink sofa in the shape of the bunny. Isn’t that adorable? People are invited to chill out on the sofa and they really do, which is quite a cool sight. You can’t get to wild though and jump on the sofa, as there is a security man who makes sure that everybody behaves.

We want that sofa for our office!

The huge MiRabbit sofa is indeed very comfortable

Lots of people like to chill on the sofa

It just looks adorable

But there are also other parts of the exhibition like this funny bunny on a scooter

We can’t stop showing you cute free wallpapers. Just click on the pictures to get the wallpapers in full size to download. Do you have a favourite? We think the Kutusita Nyanko wallpaper with the little matryoshka cats is really cute.
When we visited Tokyo’s Sunshine City during one of our last business trips of course we also saw lots of shops and products with our favourite characters. So today we show you some pictures we took with Rilakkuma, Hello Kitty, My Melody and so on. In such a huge shopping complex there is room for the craziest products and it’s always super impressive to see so many products with one character on the same spot. It’s almost impossible to choose your favourite product then, because all of them are so cute.

Time to meet another packing fairy from the modes4u team. Maybe Veronica has even packed your order?
Hello, who are you by the way?
I’m Veronica, I am 22 years old and was born and raised in Hong Kong. Part of my family is from India which is why I still have many relatives over there and visit them regularly. So I grew up in a very international atmosphere with lots of visits to other countries and languages. At home I mainly speak English, but of course I can also speak Cantonese and a bit of Hindi as well.
Before I started working here I was working in the catering sector, for example in Disneyland and different restaurants in Hong Kong.
What is your job at modes4u?
I am part of the packing team, so I’m involved in the daily duties revolving around shipping the incoming orders: picking products, wrapping and packing, cutting fabrics, sticking stamps and taking the packages to the post office.
It is a very active position; you walk around a lot and are working with your hands rather than sitting the whole day at a desk.
What is your favourite product or your favourite category at modes4u?
I really like the folders we sell in our shop. They are just so colourful and have fun designs. Also they come in so many sizes and versions. Especially the folders with several pockets are super cool, I can totally see them being super useful at school or the office.
What do you like most about your job at modes4u?
It is such a happy environment here that it almost feels like home. I feel super comfortable around my workmates, as everybody is really nice.
Also I enjoy the “relaxed work”. Of course there is a lot to do and it gets super stressful around Christmas, on Mondays and after holidays as orders just build up then, but still there is a calm atmosphere to it. Everybody works hard but the tasks are clear. When working in a restaurant there often is a lot of noise, hectic and pressure in an uncomfortable way.
You’re surrounded by creative stuff the whole day. Do you like to craft or to be creative in your leisure time?
I love to craft for friends, like making cards or designing photo albums or scrapbooks. If a birthday or special occasion is coming up I work with stationery then. But I don’t really craft for myself.
