Today we would like to share with you some beautiful pictures taken by modeS4u’s own Sandra Boch, during her trip to the 2019 International Quilt Market, held in late spring in Kansas City. This event is the only wholesale trade show for the quilting and textile industry worldwide, and tens of thousands of people have attended its latest editions.
There were more than 700 vendor booths in the huge exhibition that took place in the city’s Convention Center! The spring Quilt Market lasted several days, and was packed with interesting events. Of course, we took advantage of the occasion and paid a visit to some wonderful modeS4u fabric providers, like Alexander Henry, Cloud 9, Cotton and Steel, and Stof France. As you will see in the images below, there were beautiful catalogs to browse, and new materials to sample in many colors!
We also took lots of photographs of wonderful quilts, fabrics, clothes etc. We have included a few to go with this first post about the Market, especially those featuring all sorts of kawaii items and designs, which we know are some of your favorites! Just check out those gorgeous animal cushions, the incredibly artful rainbow and flower quilts, or the food and Japanese patterns. Aren’t they super cute?
As it happened with past editions, this was an exciting opportunity to know first-hand about some of the other world class firms working in the textiles industry. Do not miss our next blog posts about the Quilt Market, we still have lots of delightful pictures to show you!
