Did you know that the Year of the Pig is sometimes referred to as the Year of the Boar? Boars and pigs are part of the same family, but do look a little bit different in real life. If you want to celebrate or learn more about the upcoming Year of the Pig, you can start by checking out what boars look like in real life if you are not familiar with these beasts… although we must tell you that, according to the Chinese Zodiac, boars and pigs are the perfect example of the classic tenet ‘looks are deceiving’, as their beautiful nature hides under a seemingly ungraceful appearance!

We bet most of you would not mention wild boars if asked about your favorite cute animals, would you?  Whilst some other kawaii animals might come to mind first, such as pigs, we definitely know boars can be cute too, especially after we came across some amazingly kawaii depictions of these creatures on Pinterest!  Don’t they look lovely?  Check out the pictures below to see what we mean 🙂  What do you think of these kawaii boars?
